As a company, we chose the GOTS certification for one central reason. OEKO-TEX®, for example with their Standard 100, primarily focuses on testing textiles for harmful substances. This means the finished product is tested for contaminants. While this is certainly important, it is not sufficient for us. GOTS, on the other hand, goes much further. Not only is the end product tested with strict requirements for chemicals and dyes, but all stages of the supply chain must be certified, from the first processing step to the final product. This ensures that not only the materials are organic, but also that social and ecological standards are upheld throughout the entire production process.
