In industry terms, kbA and kbT stand for “certified organic farming” and “certified organic livestock farming”. They describe the production of agricultural goods (for example organic cotton or organic virgin wool) based on production methods that are as natural and animalfriendly as possible.
Crop rotation is also taken into account during cultivation. That means fields are not planted with just one crop over and over again, but with different useful crops as well, which can help improve soil fertility.
Organic livestock farming places high demands on animal welfare and supports more speciesappropriate conditions. This is ensured, among other things, through the ban on certain feed types and higher minimum space requirements for the animals.
